Care and adaptation

It is advisable to maintain relative rest during the first 6 hours after the operation. Between 12 and 24 hours and after the specialist’s evaluation, patients are usually discharged.

After 4 or 5 weeks, as a general rule, it is possible to resume normal sexual relations after receiving all this time analgesic and healing treatments.

One of the biggest fears that men have in Andromedi’s office is about infection and the need to remove the device. However, this is a complication that has been minimized over time, to the point of being practically non-existent in the latest generation of prostheses, since they have a special coating with antibiotic technology.

Wound care

Mainly you must keep in mind that you must keep the bandages clean and dry. That is to say that after each bath you should change them during the first week once the Doctor allows you to bathe. You can clean the wounds carefully using soap and water.

If you experience pain several weeks after the operation, there are several techniques to alleviate pain. During the regeneration and healing process, scrotal supports are often very effective if you want to avoid taking pain medication.

A recently published paper in the official journal of the International Society for Sexual Medicine (ISSM) studied the postoperative evolution of 53 men who underwent penile prosthesis implantation. The tests yielded the following results:
